modern-mountain-home-exterior

This stunning modern mountain-style home by Lauren Crocco Architecture + Design together with Design Harmony is nestled on a woodsy property in Tumble Creek, a private community within Suncadia in Cle Elm, Washington. Designed as a weekend getaway home to get out of the city and relax in the rugged Cascade Mountains. This dwelling features striking contrast, texture, and custom design details throughout to make it a unique living experience.

The homeowners are a couple from Seattle who reside in a two-bedroom condo, wanting an escape to nature when time allows. They desire to eventually live full-time in this warm and inviting home, with plans to work from home in the future. This dwelling encompasses 2,950 square feet of living space with three bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a comfortable home office.

What We Love: The design and architecture of this home in the Cacades mountain range is amazing. We love how the warmth of the wood floors and the great room’s ceiling creates a cozy ambiance, while the color palette throughout the home is inspired by the beauty of the surrounding natural landscape. Overall, the project team did a fabulous job of creating a soothing living environment that these fortunate homeowners can enjoy for weekend getaways and, eventually, as an inspiring work-from-home retreat.

The fireplace provides a striking focal point, along with plenty of warmth. To keep the focus on the fireplace, a black-stained wood was added behind the television to camouflage the screen.

modern-dining-room

Above: To create a clean, mountain-modern aesthetic in the great room, the homeowners opted not to use ceiling pendant lights. Instead, they have track lighting in the dining area, recessed lighting in the kitchen, and LED strip lighting underneath the upper cabinets and shelves. They wanted the focus on the wine cooler, the attractive backsplash in the kitchen, and the views through the windows.
