W O V E N Architecture and Design is responsible for the creation of this modern lake house retreat located on Sakinaw Lake in British Columbia, Canada. This spectacular shelter is perched 30 feet above a pristine lake, taking on the form of an L-shaped plan that embraces its surrounding rocky landscape. Inside you will find 4,110 square feet (380 square meters) of living space.
Flat roofs float above two wings producing large roof overhangs and covered outdoor spaces. A single-story wing encompasses the main living spaces while a two-story wing includes a garage, media room, and private bedrooms above. Skylights run the length of both wings to flood the circulation paths with natural light.
