Fir Tree Glen House is a visually striking modern home designed by Architect Franc D’Ambrosio in partnership with Horizon Contracting, surrounded by woods in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. This fascinating custom residence showcases gorgeous clean lines, hardwood flooring, floor-to-ceiling windows, and open wooden beams.
Despite the modern feel of this two-story home, the interiors feel warm and inviting. Wood is used extensively in the furnishings, finishes, and materials. Area rugs delineate spaces, and the private areas are separated from the public spaces on different levels. The home offers an open-concept floor plan that allows fluidity, which is perfect for entertaining.

The stunning kitchen island is comprised of a walnut plywood veneer that has been book-matched for grain.
The fireplace is made of metal, 1.4-inch plate steel treated with an acid wash. The wall of stone above the fireplace is a beautiful hand-cut travertine.
