This two-story luxury home designed by Auhaus Architectureย is a beautiful collaboration of concrete, marble and brass, locatedย inย Torquay, a township of Victoria, Australia. This coastal property with four bedrooms and three bathroomsย features wetlands just beyond its backyard. Providing a walled-in sanctuary with an internal courtyard and a rooftop garden with native plantings creates a private oasis for the home’s inhabitants, especially withย the close proximity of neighboring houses. The exterior concrete facade conceals an interior courtyard through a wood slatted doorway, which leads to the front door. The entrance to the home is very grand, with soaring ceilings and walls of glass that looks into a central courtyard, helping to illuminate the space with natural light and helping to draw in fresh breezes. Both levels are supported by slender columns, providing a counterpoint to the heaviness of the concrete. Texture and warmth is infused into the home through the use of timber battening and beautiful brass details, creating a unique architectural masterpiece.
If you are crushing on this home design, you are in luck, because it also just recently went up for sale, despite just being newly developed in 2015. Wrapped around a serene garden in the center of the home makes this home a distinctive design for anyone looking for an upscale property in Australia, listed in the price range ofย $1,350,000+, found here while the link lasts.

What We Love: Beautiful both inside and out, the use of concrete mixed with wood in this home is very zen-like. There is a really nice mix of materials showcased in this home, creating gorgeous results and a luxury quality that is hard to beat… and the location is not too shabby either! A very lucky house hunter is going to be enjoying their new digs. How about you, would you consider living in a house like this?
