This stunning farmhouse-style home was designed by Holder Parlette Architecture, located in St. Helena, a city in Napa County, California. Nestled in a picturesque clearing in a quintessential Napa Valley setting, this property boasts vineyards from both the front and back doors. The location of this residence is very unique, featuring a grove of redwoods and a dramatic backdrop of a hillside of Douglas fir trees.
The surroundings had a major impact on the design of this dwelling, which features heavy timber, thick plaster walls, and custom carpentry elements of an open truss great room. On the second level, the master bedroom suite with its rooftop balcony is screened by the redwood grove. This creates a breathtaking, private view of the hills beyond.
Project Team: Architect: Holder Parlette Architecture / Builder: Summit Professional Builders / Landscape Architect: Rhyne Designs Landscape.
What We Love: This stunning farmhouse offers bright and airy living spaces that are beautifully connected to the outdoors. This residence is fully integrated into its landscape thanks to vineyard views from both the front and back of the home. Large windows help to frame the views of the striking surroundings, blurring boundaries between indoors and out… Readers, please share what details of this home caught your eye and why in the Comments below!
