A Vermont ski house with beautiful modern yet rustic living spaces

Tucked away on an old logging road in the heart of Warren, Vermont, this spectacular modern-rustic ski house was conceived by Pinney Designs. This dwelling boasts idyllic views of the Sugarbush Mountain Resort through expansive walls of glazing.

A modern ski house at heart, its environmental structure, and its perpendicular placement make the magnificent mountain vistas almost a feature of the residence. From top to bottom, this new construction enabled the designers to stretch their style and bring a crisp rustic aesthetic to the hills of Vermont.

What We Love: This warm and inviting house is surrounded by breathtaking scenery that is continually changing through the seasons to the delight of its occupants. Positioned on the site to maximize these incredible views, the project team did a fabulous job of providing every room with an optimal view. There is so much to love about this home, but one of our favorite features is the four-season porch. The perfect spot to relax with a roaring fire or spend time gathering with loved ones.

Tell Us: What design features in this Vermont ski house do you find most appealing? Let us know in the Comments, we enjoy reading your feedback!

The interior space called for low-profile furniture and lighting selections so thin they practically disappear allowing the view to take center stage. A perfect example of this is the delicate and airy, dining room chandelier which enables the views to transcend through the lighting fixture.

Colors and textures of the surrounding landscape were integrated into each room, in order to merge the boundaries between indoors and out. Rich woods and Vermont slate were just some of the materials used to connect the interiors back to the outdoor surrounding environment.
