A farmhouse family retreat in South Carolina offers a relaxed lifestyle

farmhouse-style-home-exterior

This beautiful farmhouse style home was designed by Pursley Dixon Architecture in collaboration with Whitlock Builders, located in South Carolina. The design of this family retreat was inspired by traditional American barn structures, yet maintains rural simplicity while offering distinctive living spaces. Expansive windows frame picturesque views to the rolling pastures and ponds that compose the property.

What We Love: This stunning farmhouse family retreat is nestled in a tranquil setting with a beautiful pond, mature trees and lush landscaping. The mix of glass, stone and wood siding on the exterior facade of this home is very warm and welcoming. On the interiors, an open and spacious layout invites the homeowners and their guests to relax and enjoy their vacation. Overall a beautifully designed home that is classic yet timeless… Readers, please share what you think of the design of this home. Would this be your ideal family vacation retreat? Tell us in the Comments, we love reading your feedback!

I too felt the house was beautiful, except the rope railing on the stairs.

I thought this was an absolutely beautiful home. The lay out and finishings were beautiful. Only negative was the rope on the stairway. I thought it looked out of place and nautical. Congratulations on a beautiful project.
