This stunning rustic modern lake house was designed by Marka Architecture along with Tays & Co. Design Studios, nestled in Pequot Lakes a town in northern Minnesota. A harmonious combination of wood, steel, and stone is highlighted throughout this home. The exterior vertical artisan siding complements the natural antique bronze stone.  

The cozy interior is warmed with cedar ceilings and hardwood floors with elements of modern, such as the steel surround wood fireplace with custom steel wood storage. No detail was overlooked in tailoring this custom home to meet the needs of the owner’s lifestyle and creating a family legacy to be handed down for generations to come. The beach side entrance is cleverly named their “ready room” for its multi-functional use. Complete with lockers, an island sink, laundry, and plenty of storage space, the family has all the amenities needed to prepare for a day on the lake. 

What We Love: This rustic modern lake house offers beautiful, customized details at every turn. The project team did a fantastic job of meeting the lifestyle needs of this home’s inhabitants, creating elevated living spaces that are cozy, moody, and highly functional for large family gatherings. Large walls of glazing help to frame captivating views of the lake, making this home an idyllic sanctuary. A harmonious blend of natural materials adds warmth and character, grounding the home in its serene lakeside setting.
