In collaboration with Redpath Constable Interior Design, Swan Architecture has designed this beautiful dream house in Wayzata, a city in Hennepin County, Minnesota. The project is called “The Beautiful Life” (La Belle Vie, translated from French), which the homeowners imagined for their living spaces — serene and relaxing.

An ample yard chock full of outdoor recreation and seamless connection to indoor spaces was high on the priority list. The Butterfly, the owner’s favorite creature symbolizing transcendence, found whimsical moments throughout the project, most impactfully behind the front façade’s glass stair hall window on a floor-to-ceiling mural that welcomes guests and family alike. Ethereal, ordered, neutral tones inside to out promote symbiotic balance for all to enjoy. Life indeed becomes beautiful for our clients when they retreat home.

What We Love: This Minnesota dream house offers a respite for its owners to have a live/work environment that is both inspiring and relaxing. We love the butterfly mural on the wall in the front entry, adding a touch of whimsy and setting the tone for the rest of the abode. The four-season sunroom is also a great feature in this home, with its inviting fireplace, this is the perfect spot to enjoy through the seasons, taking a break from work or lounging with family and friends while enjoying your favorite beverage.
