Cottage style dream home inspired by the beauty of nature in Minnesota

Architecture studio PLAAD has created this gorgeous cottage style dream home blending modern and traditional elements, located in the Highlands neighborhood of Edina, Minnesota. The architects devised adaptable living spaces to meet the lifestyle needs of a young family of four. Surrounded by lush trees, it was integral to the design to invite nature inside.

Nestled on a wooded corner lot, the beautiful exterior facade features a gray-blue stained cedar shake siding, an abundance of windows, and stone elements that create a distinctive aesthetic. Encompassing 6,300 square feet of living space with six bedrooms and six bathrooms, one of the highlights of this home is its four-season porch.

It’s weird. There’s something about this house’s exterior that reminds me of that joke where someone draw a chihuahua’s head on a St. Bernard’s body.
