Breathtaking stone-clad Tuscan villa has elegant details in Corona Del Mar

tuscan-villa-home-exterior

This breathtaking Tuscan villa was designed by Oatman Architects, located in Corona Del Mar, a seaside neighborhood in the city of Newport Beach, California. New houses can take many years to settle into their landscapes, but this 6,500-square-foot house fits into the neighborhood perfectly.

One of the stand out features of this home is the stonework. The exterior facade and details surrounding the curved steel windows plus interior design elements such as the barrel-vaulted stone ceilings and built-in niches required the utmost skill and seasoned experience with stone masonry.

Rough-hewn beams, groin-vaulted plaster ceilings, and a circular stone stairwell transport the homeowners to another time and place without losing modernity or elegance.
