Glass lake house provides ultimate getaway in the Adirondack Mountains

Phinney Group Design worked in close collaboration with the homeowner to devise this glass lake house retreat, located in Bolton Landing, New York. Nestled on Lake George in the Adirondack Mountains, this dwelling is comprised of 2,905 square feet of living space.

The main living space was constructed on an existing camp footprint. This was done to maintain the proximity to the lake as the existing camp was well beyond the required shoreline setback. The goal of this project was to integrate natural materials with modern details while maximizing the area of glass towards the lake.

What We Love: This glass lake house retreat is flooded with natural light while maximizing views of the beautiful waterfront. Clean lines with modern details help to keep this home low-maintenance while not detracting from the incredible views. We are especially loving the floor-to-ceiling, stone-clad fireplace that provides a dramatic focal point for the great room and much-needed warmth during the winter months.
