Ridgecrest Designs has reimagined this stunning ranch-style house in the breathtaking Sierra Mountains, California. This one-of-a-kind ranch involved a full-scale remodel, both inside and out, and took two years to complete. The project team upgraded the exterior with new siding and stonework, installed custom wood-trimmed windows and doors, and added a new deck to soak in the picturesque mountain lake views.
The homeowner’s vision was to blend authenticity with modern luxury, which was achieved with real stone and reclaimed wood siding. The reclaimed wood features a custom stain, which the Ridgecrest team meticulously applied. They also incorporated weathered corrugated metal, a striking metal roof, and custom steel stair risers on the back deck.
What We Love: This ranch house has undergone a stunning transformation in an idyllic lakeside location in the beautiful Sierra Mountains. We love so many of the details in this home, from the gorgeous floor-to-ceiling fireplace in the living room to the striking custom metal hood in the kitchen and the absolutely fabulous outdoor bathroom with a copper soaking tub. Overall, the project team did an amazing job of infusing a warm and inviting atmosphere into this mountain getaway.

Functionality was just as important as aesthetics. The spacious kitchen was designed to accommodate multiple families cooking together. The layout was reconfigured to include a generous island with seating for seven grandkids and an additional prep island.
