A beautiful Newport Beach house inspired by old Spanish architecture

modern Spanish style home exterior

Gonterman Custom Homes, a premier luxury home builder based in Newport Beach, California, has completed this extraordinary Spanish-inspired dream house for Lindye Galloway, the founder and Chief Creative Officer of Lindye Galloway Studio + Shop.

Galloway, an esteemed interior designer recognizable for her signature blend of clean lines and organic elements, entrusted Gonterman Custom Homes to bring her vision to life in the heart of Newport Beach. The result is The Heights, a stunning custom home filled with bespoke touches, beautifully designed exteriors, and abundant natural light.

The Heights is a breathtaking combination of Old Spanish architecture infused with modern design elements, giving a timeless yet innovative aesthetic that stays true to the Restoration Hardware-stocked designer’s signature style. Key features include white oak flooring and cabinetry throughout, intricate custom cabinetry, special wall finishes, detailed stonework, and striking ceiling treatments and fireplaces.

The renowned Brandon Architects custom designed the home, which was landscaped by the sought-after Garden Studio Design. The project took just 18 months to complete.

“Jason and his team are above and beyond!” said Lindye. “Gonterman Custom Homes built our new home in Newport Beach, and we had an amazing experience. We had many unique and custom details that their team of subs executed at the highest level, and there was such an energy of collaboration throughout the process.

“They are professional, detailed, creative problem solvers and a joy to be on the job site with.”

Winn Galloway added, “I cannot recommend Gonterman Custom Homes enough. The level of care and detail they pour into their projects is unmatched. Jason has a special ability to minimize the stress while increasing the fun of the whole process!”

Jason Gonterman, President of Gonterman Custom Homes, said, “It was a true honor to work with Lindye and her talented team. Her creativity and eye for detail pushed us to deliver our very best work, which is exactly the kind of challenge we love.

“From the stonework to the custom cabinetry, this project was truly a dream to bring to life. We take great pride in transforming a designer’s vision into a reality!”

The house is absolutely breathtaking… However,Not a fan of some of the furniture choices. Too much wood. Wood barstools, wood dining chairs in the kitchen… It’s just too much wood and it’s all the same color wood. Some fabric chairs would have softened it up but probably would’ve gone against the aesthetic they were going for. And there’s so much brown in the fabric choices maybe the owners are a fan of color brown
