Kossow Camp is a thoughtfully reimagined lakefront house by Studio Ren Architecture, in collaboration with Wright-Ryan Homes, nestled on the shores of Crescent Lake in Raymond, Maine. What began as a dated summer camp has been transformed into a refined, year-round home that honors the spirit of traditional Maine cottages while embracing modern comfort and efficiency.
The renovation was guided by the owners’ desire for a space that could welcome both lively summer gatherings and quiet winter escapes. Smart design solutions allow the home to shift seamlessly with the seasons, offering open-air living in the warmer months and cozy warmth in the colder ones. What We Love About This Home
This lakefront house in Maine provides a wonderful retreat for a multi-generational family to gather, relax, and reconnect throughout the seasons. Thoughtfully designed living spaces and serene water views create an atmosphere that feels both comfortable and timeless, making it a place where lasting memories are made. We especially love the cozy A-frame cabin on the property, an idyllic spot for guests with plenty of privacy and its own boat dock!
Tell Us: Would this be your idea of the ultimate family gathering place on the lake? Let us know why or why not in the Comments below!
Note: Check out a couple of other fabulous home tours that we have highlighted here on One Kindesign in the state of Maine: A midcentury modern-inspired lake house in the woods of western Maine and A modern retreat in the woods of Maine with striking architectural design.

The project also includes a complete rebuild of the property’s iconic A-frame, preserving its charm while enhancing its livability. Kossow Camp is a celebration of place, purpose, and the enduring appeal of lakeside living.
