Jackson & Leroy and W Design Collective have collaborated to design this charming new house with a historic sensibility, located in picturesque Midway, Utah. This beautiful residence was custom-tailored to meet the lifestyle needs of a family with an abundance of creative energy.
This newly developed project is called “Dutch Fields”. The scope included full furnishings and took more than two years to complete. The aesthetic is “vintage quirky” (a term the homeowner came up with), which the designers created through historical hard finishes and antique furnishings mixed with colorful prints, paint colors, and patterned wallpapers throughout.
What We Love: This charming Utah house provides a wonderful environment for family living and entertaining in style. The designer did a fabulous job of mixing time periods in the furnishings and decor to create a home that is warm and inviting. We are especially loving the gorgeous kitchen with its expansive island and a beautiful transform window wall that provides a delineation between the kitchen and dining areas.
Tell Us: What elements in the design of this home do you find most inspiring? Let us know in the Comments, we love reading your feedback!
Note: Take a look at a couple of other sensational home tours that we have highlighted here on One Kindesign in the state of Utah: Dream Home Tour: A rambler style house with beautiful details in Utah and Ski lodge style mountain home blending rustic and modern details in Utah.
Above: This dining space was originally drawn on the floor plans to be open. The designer collaborated with Highland Group to create this special window transom wall. This helps to make the two spaces feel connected yet visually separated and lends a feeling of intimacy in the dining room.
Above: This formal, yet casual, living room offers beauty and comfort — perfect for family living and entertaining. The fireplace mantel is painted in Farrow & Ball Hague Blue. The sofa was sourced from Utah-based Markell’s Upholstery & Furniture.
Above: The lockers in the laundry room feature mesh on the bottom drawers that allow the shoes to breathe — pretty and functional.
ENTERTAINMENT BARN
An entertainment barn was built to accompany the main house. This beautiful space provides a multi-functional area for hosting events from pool parties to musical performances.
