Designed by Malia Schultheis and built by Oregon-based Tru Form Tiny, this custom off-grid tiny home is clad with open, clear cedar siding and a rain screen. Each board is carefully gapped and secured with stainless steel screws. The corners are detailed with an alternating pattern. The doors are wood.
This particular tiny home is custom designed, but on the Tru Form Tiny website, they list three different travel trailer models you can select from, including floor plans. Any one of these models can be custom configured to meet your lifestyle needs. All of the travel trailer tiny home units are 8.5 ft wide – making the interior living space 7’7″ wide through-out. The lengths start at 20′ and extend up to 28′ in length and the lengths can be customized to your needs!
Furnishings, built-ins, beds, and more can be added to these travel trailers to maximize storage. You can also add windows, bathroom configurations, kitchen configurations, dog sleeping areas, change door placement, add doors (like folding doors and garage doors), window style, door style, colors, fixtures, finishes, etc. So many options for living off the grid!
Note: The starting price for these tiny homes is $45,900! With an RVIA-certified (Recreation Vehicle Industry Association) tiny home, you can pretty much park your home anywhere that you can legally park an RV — RV park, national park, or campground.
What We Love: This off-grid tiny home features customized design details to offer an inviting atmosphere to take up residence. Windows and skylights illuminate the interiors with natural light while framing views of the surrounding landscape. The compact interior is highly functional, with everything one would need to live comfortably, including a washer/dryer combo! On the interior, Blue stained pine for the ceiling, pine wall boards in white, custom barn door, custom steel work throughout, and modern minimalist window trim. This table folds down and away.
Above: In the kitchen, the Cabinetry is Maple with stainless steel countertop and hardware. The backsplash is a glass and stone mix. It only has a 2 burner cooktop and no oven. The washer/ drier combo is in the kitchen area. Open shelving was installed to maintain an open feel.
