Pearson Design Group in collaboration with North Fork Builders has created Tapawingo Lake Camp, a camp-like family retreat perched above a lake in Wisconsin. This campus-style lake camp is a throwback to the classic Adirondack Mountain camps in New York. Everything about this project was carefully designed and crafted to make you feel like you are back at summer camp.
Buildings were constructed to accommodate the antique pieces that would be placed inside their walls. The campus includes a dining hall, gathering room, library and separate living quarters. The flower garden was designed by renowned landscape artist Tom Stuart Smith who has won eight gold medals for garden design at the Chelsea Flower Show, including three Best in Show.
Project Team: Architect: Pearson Design Group | Builder: North Fork Builders | Interior Design: Sibyl Colefax & John Fowler
What We Love: This camp-like family retreat provides an amazing escape with individualized cabins for various activities. Family members have complete privacy when needed, but plenty of indoor and outdoor spaces to roam when looking for activities together or apart. We are loving the concept of these rustic cabins with an idyllic lakeside setting… we would never want to leave!
Tell Us: What are your thoughts on the design of this family getaway? Would this be your idea of the ultimate gathering spot? Let us know in the Comments below!
