This spectacular modern mountain home in Martis Valley, California, was designed by Sandbox Studio with construction by Mark Tanner Construction. The 3,250-square-foot home is located in the Martis Camp community of Truckee and features a mix of wood, stone, steel, and glass. One standout detail is the combination of exposed wood roof purlins and curved steel beams, which gives the interiors a strong architectural feel.
This award-winning home was designed to take full advantage of its mountain setting, with large windows and lift-and-slide glass doors connecting the main living spaces to the outdoors. Inside, you’ll find custom walnut cabinetry, an onyx waterfall kitchen island, a built-in wine wall, and several spaces designed for relaxing and entertaining.
