Luminous coastal chic home features breezy living in Newport Beach

Designed by Corona Del Mar-based Brooke Wagner Design, this coastal chic home was created for the designer and her family, with the assistance of Brandon Architects. Located in Newport Beach, California, this home is the epitome of classic coastal design, featuring clean lines, simplicity and an abundance of natural light. Layering neutrals and textures with accents of color and pattern were key to the success for the design of this home.

The designer and her family had just moved in when she contacted the architects to work with her on the remodel of her family home. The concept was to create an open and spacious floor plan with multiple pocketing doors for indoor/outdoor use. It was constructed with the intent for the designer’s children to bring their friends over and to have room for them to spread out. However, there are two ‘no kid zones’: the powder room and the designer’s dream master retreat which features an abundance of natural light.

What We Love: This coastal chic home is as well thought out and functional as it is aesthetically pleasing. The designer did an amazing job of keeping this home family-friendly while at the same time warm and inviting.
