This beautiful modern farmhouse-style retreat was designed by Vetter Architects to reflect comfortable yet elegant living spaces, located in Mequon, Wisconsin. Drawing inspiration from the rustic farmsteads scattered across the picturesque Wisconsin countryside, the project team envisioned a grand residence clad with vertical cypress siding stained in a rich, dark hue.

Guided by a black stone pathway, one can meander from the front entrance, through the entryway with its rift-sawn oak ceilings that gracefully transcend the home’s boundaries, and finally arrive at the serene pool courtyard, blurring the lines between indoors and out.

Above: Creating a relaxed atmosphere in the dining area, a bespoke oak dining table takes center stage, accompanied by Verellen chairs upholstered in Perennials fabric. Adding a touch of whimsy, hand-blown glass globes sourced from Cisco Brothers infuse the space with a playful vibe.

Above: At the heart of the great room is a stunning limestone fireplace. Accenting it, barrel-backed armchairs by Verellen, luxuriously upholstered in Alpaca velvet by Mokum, beckon for moments of relaxation. Completing the cozy gathering spot is a custom cocktail table crafted by 360 Degrees, perfectly complementing the inviting atmosphere.

What We Love: This modern farmhouse retreat in Wisconsin offers a family the ultimate gathering space to relax and unwind in stylish luxury. We are absolutely loving the great room with its limestone fireplace with a skylight that bathes the space with natural light… and the gorgeous hand-blown glass pendant lights over the dining table. Overall, this beautiful home exudes warmth and elegance at the same time.

Designed for both comfort and style, a teak-and-concrete dining table from Clubcu is accompanied by Palecek teak-and-rope chairs.

Complemented by a combination of flat and gabled metal rooflines, this expansive dwelling effortlessly harmonizes indoor and outdoor spaces. The integration is achieved through skillfully designed landscape walls, pavilions, and outbuildings.
