Strand Design together with Detail Homes is responsible for the design of this spectacular modern dream house located on the popular Mississippi River Boulevard in St. Paul, Minnesota. This home was designed to respect the historic neighborhood but also add a fun modern addition to it. The limestone was selected to integrate with the adjacent river bluffs and St. Thomas and St. Kate’s University buildings.

Clad in stone, steel, and cement board, this dwelling gets its shape from the unique corner lot that it occupies. A balance of privacy and connectivity to the active neighborhood is achieved through careful window placement, sprawling overhangs, and low-slung walls.
