A gorgeous midcentury inspired home in Dallas with indoor outdoor living

modern-living-room

This striking midcentury inspired home was designed by Ryan Street Architects in collaboration with interior designer Meredith McBrearty, located in Greenway Parks, a leafy neighborhood in north Dallas, Texas. This sophisticated home was designed for a young family with three kids. The owners requested their home to serve as a backdrop for their impressive art collection.

The man of the home had spent most of his youth in New Orleans, which inspired this home’s selection of artwork — sourced from New Orleans-based artists, including the likes of Jose Maria Cundin and Ida Kohlmeyer. Continue below to see the rest of this stunning home tour…

What We Love: Architecturally clean with simple, sophisticated lines, this midcentury-inspired home was designed around a family’s desire to be surrounded by nature. This home features a strong emphasis on indoor-outdoor living, which can be seen throughout. The heavy use of wood brings warmth to an otherwise contemporary interior. Overall, we are loving every detail in this absolutely stunning home.

One of the defining elements of this dwelling is an emphasis on indoor-outdoor living. Expanses of steel-framed glass draws in natural light and views.
