Beautiful update to a modern craftsman style home in Northern California


This three-story modern craftsman style home was designed by Sogno Design Group, in collaboration with interior designer Leslie Harris Keane, located in Berkeley, California. This total remodel was a fabulous project from start to finish. All of the 16 different colors plus two white paint colors throughout this home were selected by color consultant Cass Morris Color & Design. What We Love: This modern craftsman style has been completely transformed to offer a warm and inviting atmosphere for family living and entertaining. We are loving the fantastic curb appeal of this home, from the landscaping to the steps that meander up to the front door and the mix of materials on the exterior facade. Inside, open and airy interiors offer inspiring details from furnishings to beautiful paint selections.

Above: The wall is painted in Pashmina AF-100 | Benjamin Moore, while the trim is Dove Wing 960 | Benjamin Moore.

Above: The oak floor has a clear finish. No stain was used. The perimeter kitchen cabinets were painted Benjamin Moore’s HC-162 Brewster Gray. The island is Hale Navy HC-154 | Benjamin Moore. Island Top: Solid wood butcher block countertop in white oak, end grain checkered block style. Pre-fabricated, pre-finished; sourced from Green Mountain. The main cabinets have soapstone counters. The backsplash tiles are from Fireclay Tile.


Above: The hood was custom designed by the architect and fabricated by Modern-Aire Ventilating. The floating shelves were custom made by the cabinet maker.


Above: The powder bathroom walls are painted in Portland Gray 2109-60 | Benjamin Moore. The vanity is custom and the sink was made from “Julia” soapstone.






Above: The balusters of this stair railing design are 1-3/4″ x 1-3/4″. The stairwell walls are natural Cream OC-14 | Benjamin Moore.

Above: The custom vanity is made from rift sawn oak. The shower wall tile is from Fireclay Tile and the color is “Salton Sea”. The floor tile is Savoy Herringbone from Ann Sacks. The walls are painted in Healing Aloe 1562 | Benjamin Moore.




Above: The bathroom walls are painted in Pale Oak OC-20 | Benjamin Moore. The wall tile is Fireclay thin brick, silk gloss. The floor is Ann Sacks, Savoy Mosaics, hive in metallic bronze. The bench and vanity are both made from afromosia, also known as African teak. The bathroom is approximately 5’6″ x 8′.

Beautifully designed and executed Craftsman. And the color choices are brilliant. Wondering if you could share where the interior doors (one is a barn door slider with a diagonal plank across the center). Were these custom millwork or are they available elsewhere? Thanks!
