Modern yet inviting farmhouse style in the beautiful New York countryside

Alisberg Parker is responsible for the design of this inviting farmhouse style home located on a newly subdivided lot in Greenburgh, a town in Westchester County, New York. The young family wished to create a relaxing and welcoming interior atmosphere for their modern-day traditional farmhouse.

The exterior of the dwelling gives the presence of an early 1900’s New England farmhouse, complete with the traditional covered porch, metal standing seam roof, rafter tails, and barn style garage. Yet, the interior gives way to a modern and fresh spin of the farmhouse style. Continue below to see the rest of this inspiring home tour…

What We Love: This inviting farmhouse style home offers its inhabitants a breezy atmosphere thanks to an open and spacious floor plan and soaring ceilings. The warmth of the wood flooring creates a cozy feel, while the use of area rugs helps to define living spaces and add layers of texture. Overall, we find the design of this home to be very habitable, we are especially loving the backyard swing, a fantastic spot to relax and unwind!
