Minnesota home features delightful mountain-inspired elements

modern-mountain-inspired-home-exterior

This mountain-inspired home is designed by Divine Custom Homes in collaboration with Bria Hammel Interiors, located in Afton, Minnesota. Offering five bedrooms and seven bathrooms this modern industrial style dwelling is nestled on acreage amongst the rolling hills. This home’s contemporary style is accented by its U-shaped configuration. Soaring ceiling and an open plan layout enables each space to be illuminated with natural light, showcasing the enameled woodwork, and white oak flooring.

Quality craftsmanship can be seen in the special touches throughout this dwelling. The combination of textures — reclaimed barnwood, steel, specialty woods, and stone — are sure to delight the senses. A two-story stone fireplace anchors the center of the home and creates a grand focal point as you walk thru the 10’ tall front custom doors. This house is fun and comfortable making it an incredible place to call home.

The shou sugi ban is beautiful. I’m interested in doing this to my bedroom as well. Did you leave it charred or brush it? It’s hard to tell because the photos aren’t close enough for me to determine.

I love the siding choices. What materials did you use?
