This incredible rustic ranch house was designed by Miller-Roodell Architects, located in the beautiful city of Red Lodge, Montana. The home is nestled in the magnificent Beartooth Mountains, an idyllic region that offers world-class outdoor recreation and access to Yellowstone National Park. The property consists of an interweaving of numerous structures tucked into the slopes and folds of the mountains.
“The collection of structures achieves the desired objective while also serving as a working ranch,” states the architects. The main residence consists of 8,300 square feet of living space. There is also a separate office structure consisting of 1,950 square feet of space. The main home boasts a stone and hewn timber interior, constructed around a central node featuring kitchen, dining and living spaces.
“Various paths and levels respond to the natural slope of the landscape and lead into spaces affording more private environments,” explains the architects. The homeowners requested that the architects construct a separate space for them to conduct business outside of the main home. This affords them privacy within an intimate environment that is decorated with a rustic aesthetic.
