What We Love: This Illinois dream home is a seamless blend of style, comfort, and functionality—perfect for both everyday living and entertaining. Thoughtfully designed spaces offer a wonderful indoor-outdoor flow thanks to expansive walls of glazing throughout this home. We especially love the billiard room, connecting the main living spaces around a central hub where the family can have fun together and unwind in a relaxed, beautifully designed setting.

Above: In this moody powder room, the marble sink looks great with the rough surface on the front.
Above: Instead of designing this pool table and bar area on a basement level, the owner requested that it be located on the main level, front and center, and work the other living spaces around it. This billiard room space is situated adjacent to the family room and replaces what would typically be a formal dining room.
Above: The kitchen presented the designer with many challenges, including positioning the BlueStar range off-center and against a window. There is no typical fridge. Instead, a commercial-grade walk-in refrigerator was installed. The pendant lights over the island were sourced from Hubbardton Forge.
Above: This stunning, moody pantry features double ovens from Miele.
Above: In the entry, the Aldrich Console is from Made Goods.
Above: This modern staircase showcases open risers, black-painted stringers, metal spindles, and a soaring window that runs from floor to ceiling and spans 2 1/2 floors, all grounded and softened by a parquet white oak wood floor.
Above: The owner’s bedroom features custom drapery treatments that are pre-wired with low-voltage wiring and switched. Lutron has a great motorized system. The drapes are elegant and dramatic, showcasing a breathtaking view.
Above: In this well-appointed bathroom, the plumbing hardware is from Signature Hardware, the tile is from Viking Flooring, and the door handle is from Emtek. The mixing of tile in this space adds so much dimension.
Above: This pool bath exceeds all expectations, featuring plaster walls, a Brizo Allaria wall faucet, and a stone sink.
Above: Bi-folding doors connect the dining room to the screened porch, creating a seamless flow between the indoor and outdoor spaces. Phantom Screens are integrated into the covered porch. They are retractable screens designed to keep bugs out while allowing natural ventilation and stopping harmful UV rays. The outdoor kitchenette and grilling space were thoughtfully designed to include all the essentials and ample space, eliminating the need to go back and forth to the kitchen.
Above: This patio is so cozy and inviting. It’s great for entertaining family and friends around the fireplace, but even more enjoyable for just relaxing from the bedroom to the patio.
