This stunning renovated beachside home was designed by Swell Homes along with design studioย Liz Prater Design Home, located in Ozone Parade, Cottesloe, Australia.ย Cottesloe is a suburb renowned for its relaxed beach-side lifestyle. The residence was originally built in 1970 and purchased by designer Liz Prater. The designer was responsible for the floorplan design, interior design and landscaping.
The homeowner commissioned Swell Homes to help transform her 70’s duplex home into a modern property that would meld with the surrounding neighborhood. The collaboration resulted in a stylish interior with a complex extension and renovation, producing a modern masterpiece from what was originally a nondescript structure. The fabric of the exterior facade was substantially altered, while in the interior, no room was left untouched.
Here is what the designer/homeowner had to say about the overall design of her home: “Swell Homes has recently completed an extension/renovation on my home to Lock Up stage. The job was completed reasonably close to the anticipated time frame and to an excellent standard.ย I was very closely involved with the project on site and found all trades to be professional, helpful, polite, clean and prompt. The Project Manager in particular was very communicative, amenable and happy to tackle any changes and problems that arose and was also very organized.”
