Idaho-based Tyler Wilson Architects has designed this gorgeous mountain dream house on a sprawling 18-acre property in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. This one-of-a-kind home features unobstructed views of the Teton mountain range, Teton Village ski resort, and a wildlife migration corridor running across the property. It was designed around spectacular views and parceled into three wings that are staggered and pulled apart to capture as many mountain views as possible.
The home features an entertaining wing, guest wing, private master wing, and separate guest house, all of which have glass storefront connections that bring the outdoors in. Upon entering, the motor court and entry sequence were positioned to point directly at the Grand Teton, and every bedroom and shared space has a view. This home was designed as a single story to vault as many spaces as possible, allowing exposed timber beams and tongue and groove ceilings to add visual interest and warmth to this mountain home.
The program includes five bedrooms, five bathrooms, a gym, a theater, a butler’s kitchen, an oversized mudroom/ski room, a four-car garage, a covered loggia, a spa, an outdoor kitchen, and a separate 1,000-square-foot guest house.
One level of living with privacy for all, this home flows like the extensive water features incorporated in the surrounding landscape.
The use of stone, glass, wood, and landscaping creates a visual warmth that welcomes all who come.
The entry sequence frames the beautiful landscape and the Grand Teton while connecting the primary living spaces, the entertaining wing, and the guest wing. The natural palette of the materials enables the space to blend from the outside in.
