Dallas-based Avrea and Company has completed the beautiful interior renovation of a family mountain retreat situated in Teton Village at the base of Jackson Hole Mountain, Wyoming. This 4,000-square-foot, four-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bathroom home is a second home for a family from New York, who desired a place for extended family gatherings during the holidays. Multiple seating vignettes throughout were a top priority for the redesign of this home.

The original home was beige and brown, and the owners wanted an entirely new color palette. A Pierre Frey Braquenié Medaillons Bouquet-Rayure fabric became the defining design element, inspiring the whole color story. The designer complemented the rich reds by layering in lush greens and pale blues, creating an overall aesthetic that feels like a Swiss chalet winter paradise: festive, colorful, and ultra-inviting.

All of the upholstery, beds, and rugs were custom-designed and fabricated by the interior designer.

What We Love About This Home

We love how a single fabric choice, the Pierre Frey Braquenié, became the thread that tied the Jackson Hole home’s entire theme together. The layering of pattern on pattern, from plaid armchairs to suzani curtains to Nordic rugs, somehow never feels chaotic, landing instead in a place that feels deeply considered and genuinely lived-in. The main bedroom’s serene blue-and-white retreat, set against all that festive color, is the kind of thoughtful contrast that elevates a home from well-decorated to well-designed.
