Johnston Design Group, together with Linda McDougald Design, has crafted this stunning lake house with sustainable design features, situated in Keowee Springs, South Carolina. Thoughtfully positioned amongst old-growth trees, this residence showcases spectacular views of Lake Keowee at every turn. The material selection and planning for this home were inspired by the English Arts & Crafts movement. As an added bonus, this fabulous lake house masterpiece was designed to meet USGBC LEED for Home standards.
Inside, you will find a stunning great room that opens onto the main-level terrace. This space offers picture-perfect views of the lake through an expansive wall of limestone-cased windows. An impressive floor-to-ceiling fireplace is clad in coursed limestone, accented by a 163“ high 19th-century iron door from Italy, which anchors the sitting area. This spectacular home was awarded the US Green Building Council LEED Silver Certification.
