Centre Sky Architecture, together with Kim Layne Interiors, has designed this gorgeous rustic house called “Black Forest Homestead,” located on the outskirts of Denver, Colorado. The residence features a European flair, distinguishing it from the traditional Rocky Mountain architecture typical in the region. While the Rocky Mountain aesthetic is still present, it is complemented by cleaner lines, more sophisticated detailing, and a contemporary touch.
Inside this home, you will find warm and welcoming living spaces, stone walls, wood beams, and rustic details that create a timeless aesthetic. Large windows invite natural light while capturing views of the stunning surroundings. Continue below to see the rest of this amazing home tour…

The homeowners had a strong desire to not disturb the surrounding landscape on the site. With beautiful ponderosas and a stream running through the property, the architects wished to keep these natural features intact. A large part of the design was centered around fitting the house footprint appropriately into the site, working around these natural elements.
