Above: The hearth room is located just off the kitchen but is not the main family room, just a cozy place to hang out before a meal or enjoy cocktails with friends. The designer created a pocket in the windows to conceal the roller in the trim, which is remote-controlled. For the TV, a Samsung Frame TV appears like artwork. The plaster on the fireplace started with white but was modified to have more gray for visual appeal.
