A stunning tropical beach style house designed by Andrade Architects along with builder Patterson Custom Homes is located in Corona del Mar, a seaside neighborhood in the city of Newport Beach, California. The scope of this project called for the design style of Cape Cod meets West Indies.

The structure reflects clean lines and the traditional architecture of homes in the Hamptons while the layers of color, texture, and patterns speak to the island life of the West Indies. The inspiration for the color palette throughout this dwelling took its cue from the vibrant waters of the Caribbean Sea. Turquoise is a color that can be expanded upon – the project team was able to pull different tones out of it for different spaces. They played up the green hues in some rooms while mixing it with more blues in other spaces. The turquoise hue was accented with bright reds and corals, serving as an exquisite compliment. The furnishings were also inspired by the tropical region integrating several woven elements into the design — wicker, rattan, and jute. These textures were balanced with simpler pieces so that the design overall is not overwhelming.

What We Love: This Cape Cod style home is radiant with its pops of turquoise throughout offering a soothing atmosphere. We are loving the Caribbean elements that have been drawn into this home, it offers such a relaxed vibe yet with a hint of sophistication. This is perfect for both family living and entertaining in pure class and style.
