This contemporary mountain dwelling was designed by Molins Interiors as a family vacation home, perched high in the beautiful mountain range of Collserola, overlooking the city of Barcelona, Spain. The interiors feature a warm design scheme of woods, leathers and textured fabrics, creating a cozy living environment for the home’s inhabitants. Spread out over two levels, the first floor features the main living zones of a living room, family room, kitchen and dining area.
The second level features the private bedroom zones and finishes with a spacious rooftop deck offering sweeping views of the cityscape below. Some notable features in this home is the built-in entertainment center in the living room with a fireplace, nook for storing wood, open bookshelves, an open nook for storing electronic equipment… and the best part, how the staircase is incorporated into this wooden design.
The living room has a bit of a Southwest feel to it with the fabric on the ottoman, leather chairs, red accents and the hand painted elk horn mask. We invite you to have a look at another wonderful feature article by Molins Interiors that we presented yesterday in case you missed it, Contemporary home has mesmerizing Mediterranean coastal views.
What We Love: The rooftop deck is our favorite feature of this mountain dwelling, it is a great surprise to this home and the views are amazing. The living room is very cozy and cabin-like feeling, making this home a wonderful and relaxing oasis in the mountains. Perfect for a family vacation home, don’t you think?

A spectacular rooftop deck features a glass enclosed stairwell to access it, drawing light into the home. Several seating areas allows the perfect spot for sun lounging and entertaining guests while enjoy the sweeping views of the city below. A glass guardrail enables full transparency to not block off the views. Another great feature is a retractable awning in the corner of the deck, to help shade from the sun and other inclement weather.
