This stunning Dutch Colonial style home built in 1915 has been completely renovated by Cummings Architects, located in Winchester, Massachusetts. The home features an inviting front porch along with charming original details that will leave a lasting impression to visitors. The original two-story design was not functioning well, so the layout was reconfigured to meet the lifestyle needs of this young family.
The homeowners requests for their newly remodeled abode included: a spacious kitchen and plenty of pantry storage, a dedicated mudroom with closet space, and a new master bathroom and closet overlooking the backyard. The architects re-configured the layout to create the new rooms, while also remodeling exterior details such as the front porch, a new back porch, and beautiful roof details.

The design team custom crafted new cabinetry, trim, and built-ins, including an elegant white kitchen with inset cabinetry, topped with Danby marble countertops. A new gas fireplace in the family room features shiplap walls and a custom designed bookcase along with a custom walk-in closet. Throughout this dwelling, interior finishes and fixtures were replaced to embody a clean, bright, and cool aesthetic, with a mix of traditional and modern that works well with the graceful exterior.
