Inside a Nantucket dream house with a serene coastal color scheme

Mark Cutone Architecture +, in collaboration with Donna Elle Design, has crafted this stunning vacation house in Dionis, a serene enclave located just outside of town on the island of Nantucket, Massachusetts. The homeowners selected this idyllic neighborhood because it offers plenty of natural beauty, including a wooded marshland and sweeping views of the Great Point Lighthouse from their pool deck.

Quintessentially Nantucket, this open, airy 4,500-square-foot, four-bedroom house features high ceilings, thoughtful design details, and a carefully considered mix of organic materials—culminating in a home with a sense of direction, stability, and tranquility. The property also includes a guest house and swimming pool. On the exterior facade, the architects created a classic Nantucket-style home, employing materials of cedar shingles along with a red cedar roof and white trim.
