Surround Architecture was commissioned to design this exceptional modern farmhouse situated in Geneva Park in the foothills of Boulder, Colorado. More modern than farmhouse, this new build home is nestled into its wooded site. This countryside home is characterized by oversized windows and multi-paneled NanaWalls to create a bright and airy atmosphere.
The selection of furnishings focuses on dual goals of creating a warm and inviting living environment for the owners and their growing family and on their request for using almost exclusively natural materials in all pieces. Their desire was for the natural harmony that exists throughout the house and its environments to be matched by the natural and non-toxic furnishings and soft goods that fill it.

The structure and materials are a nod to traditional, boasts high-pitched, cross-gable roofs; clean-lined fascia and frieze boards; and lap siding indoors and out, among other classic farmhouse features.
The landscape designer enhanced this home’s surroundings by adding 30 new trees onto the property, along with imported Italian bluestone walkways and locally sourced boulders for a reinforcing wall.
