Inside the dreamiest farmhouse in Idaho with inspiring design ideas

farmhouse-exterior

This modern farmhouse was designed by Nest Designs + Build in collaboration with Axiom Homes, located in Coeur d’Alene, a city in northwest Idaho. For this project, the team wanted to keep with the traditional lines of a farmhouse, yet with a modern twist. They incorporated metal accents throughout the home.

Modern garage doors and black framed windows can be found throughout while keeping things traditional with the red brick and front door. Inside the dwelling, they wanted it to have a more eclectic feel and incorporated modern, farmhouse, industrial, and rustic touches. The home truly envelopes you from the minute you step inside. There is a total of 3,203 square feet of living space with four bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms. Continue below for the rest of this beautiful Idaho farmhouse tour…

Above: For the garage, the designer wanted it to be very rustic to play off the more modern aesthetic of the house. The paint color is
Red Barn SW 7591 – Sherwin-Williams, complemented by a bright white trim. The barn doors were made by a local craftsman.

Above: For the front door of this Idaho farmhouse, the designer selected a dutch door to keep the traditional farmhouse feel going. The top of the dutch door can be opened while keeping the kids and dog in the house.

We are loving the neutral color palette, creating a relaxed vibe throughout the interiors. The fireplace was covered in American Clay to give it the appearance of concrete. Custom benches are made out of reclaimed barn wood that flanks either side of the fireplace. The TV is on a mount that can be pulled out from the wall and swivel.

farmhouse-kitchen

Above: Since the kitchen is open to the rest of the house the designer opted to keep it light and bright to tie in with the rest of the interiors. White inset cabinetry is topped with quartz countertops with a 2” edge profile. There are two sets of drawer dishwashers, 36″ DCS range, DCS oven, and microwave and Fisher and Paykel fridge.
