A bungled Spanish conversion was transformed into a vibrant midcentury modern home by H3K Design, located in Palm Springs, California. The project team collaborated closely with the owners to bring their dreams to fruition. Throughout this home you will find custom selections, including colors, furnishings, fixtures and materials.
In an almost entirely modern neighborhood, the original home stuck out. A giant stucco wall was originally blocking the entire house before being restored to an attractive midcentury modern design. What We Love: This vibrant midcentury modern home offers a warm and inviting new design thanks to thoughtful finishes and materials selection. Indoor and outdoor boundaries are blurred thanks to sliding glass doors that extends the interiors to out. On the outside, a desert landscaping fits into the context of the region, adding to the overall curb appeal of this home.

The male underwater swimmer painted above the fireplace is by Samantha French Art.
In the living room, the redish-orange chairs are from MJ Custom Furniture. The curved wood chairs are a lucky find from a consignment store in Rancho Mirage. Grounding the space, the area rug is called Nourison Contour – Azure Area Rug from American Carpet Wholesalers.
In the family room, the sofa came from MJ Custom Furniture.
The kitchen cabinets are IKEA with custom doors from a company called Semihandmade Doors. Featuring a cool mid-century walnut veneer, they complete the kitchen with a high degree of style!
In this guest bedroom, the bed was sourced from West Elm.
In the master bathroom, the backsplash tile is a Pebble Blue Cloud 11 in. x 11 in. x 6 mm Porcelain Mosaic Tile, from Home Depot.
On the patio, the loungers are the Telescope Casual Gardenella Chaise.
The masonry around the fireplace features a metallic blue paint.
