Remarkable energy efficient home boasts views over San Francisco Bay

contemporary-pool

Designed by Walker Wanger Architects, this magnificent energy efficient home is a showcase in clean lines and modern details, nestled on a bluff of the Tiburon Peninsula, California. Carefully sited, this residence boasts mesmerizing views over the San Francisco Bay. The hillside acts as natural buffer from the both the road and neighboring dwellings.

Connecting this home with the landscape, the architects selected a material palette consisting of Aegean limestone, western red cedar, zinc and board-formed concrete. Responding to the steeply sloped site, the low-slung architecture is terraced into the hillside to create a seamless indoor-outdoor connection.
