Remarkable energy efficient home boasts views over San Francisco Bay

contemporary-pool

Designed by Walker Warner Architects, this magnificent energy-efficient home is a showcase in clean lines and modern details, nestled on a bluff of the Tiburon Peninsula, California. Carefully sited, this residence boasts mesmerizing views over the San Francisco Bay. The hillside acts as a natural buffer from both the road and neighboring dwellings.

Connecting this home with the landscape, the architects selected a material palette consisting of Aegean limestone, western red cedar, zinc, and board-formed concrete. Responding to the steeply sloped site, the low-slung architecture is terraced into the hillside to create a seamless indoor-outdoor connection.
