Jessica Helgerson Interior Design was responsible for the complete remodel of this beautiful yet dilapidated country house on a 250-acre estate in Oregon. This beautiful property gently cascades down to a swimming pool and then beyond to a river and forest. The river offers some of the best salmon fishing in the state. This project entailed a complete overhaul of the floor plan layout. The designer converted a five-car garage into an inviting family room and library that opens out to the swimming pool.
Also added to the lower level, a beautiful garden kitchen. One the upper level, all the rooms were significantly renovated. The living room was opened to an adjacent study, creating a bright and airy great room boasting a dual-sided fireplace with an inviting seating nook.
The designer’s aesthetic goal for this project was to bring together a warm, casual, family-friendly palette of materials. This includes a striking mix of linen, leather, natural wood and stone, cozy rugs, and vintage textiles. The dark beams and windows create a strong graphic element which is balanced and echoed by these more delicate textile patterns.
What We Love: This warm and welcoming country house features a gorgeous new interior layout thanks to the talented Jessica Helgerson. The designer created spacious living spaces illuminated with natural light, thanks to windows capturing views of the spectacular countryside.
