This contemporary mountain dwelling was designed in 2016 by Carney Logan Burke Architects, set on an eight-acre site in the rugged western Montana landscape. The architects are based inย Jackson Hole, Wyoming, designing custom homes for over two decades. When designing a mountain home, the design team focuses on forward-thinking design and refined details.
They prefer to collaborate with their clients on the process to ensure the best end results. With client involvement, the design can be tailoredย to meet their lifestyle requirements. The architects also, as can be seen in this project, like to meld their homes into the landscape. Designing with vernacular architecture and a strong philosophy of “inspired by place”.
This sprawling two-story, 9,000 square foot mountain residence is tucked back into the mountainside to enjoy privacy. Expansive windows provides sweeping views over the rugged landscape. Outdoor living spaces provides seasonal enjoyment with a large swimming pool, courtyards and lounge areas. There is plenty of space both indoors and outdoors for entertaining family and friends. During the winter months, inhabitants can enjoy the beautiful snowfall and all of winter’s activities.
What We Love:ย This visually intriguing contemporary mountain dwelling provides unique living spaces both inside and out. Sliding glass doors offers a seamless indoor-outdoor connection, while walls of windows helps illuminate spaces with natural light. The surrounding environment offers the home’s inhabitants beautiful scenery and a peaceful environment for relaxed living… what is your most favorite design element of this home?
