Delightful industrial style home in historic Tahoe Tavern

This industrial style home was interior designed by Tineke Triggs, principle designer of Artistic Designs for Living, located in Tahoe Tavern, Tahoe City, California. Tahoe Tavern is an historic town located on Lake Tahoe’s picturesque West Shore, surrounded by the pristine beauty of the high Sierra. This Tahoe oasis offers its inhabitants an escape from city life, in an idyllic and private setting of aspen trees and picture perfect skylines.

The interiors are open and airy. A sunken living room with a gray painted built-in cabinet acts as a divider from the dining/kitchen area. White painted shiplap walls and hardwood flooring are the main material elements. Delineating the space, a braided sisal rug adds warmth and comfort underfoot. A comfortable sectional and a rustic brickmaker’s coffee table adds a causal feel to the space. Adding to the aesthetic is a vintage style clock hung on the wall, paired with additional eye-catching accessories.

A wood dining table and benches adds to the rustic nuances found throughout. A pair of old skis decorates the wall, while a Passage Lantern by Currey & Company illuminates the dining table.

What We Love: A beautiful mix of vintage, rustic and industrial style all rolled into one chic living space. There are plenty of unique accessories and details that makes this a cool retreat for spending family holidays. We love the mix of shiplap walls and wood details throughout, from the furnishings to the flooring.
