This shingle style cottage was built by Gabriel Builders and interior decorated by Linda McDougald Design, located in the private community of The Cliffs on Lake Keowee, South Carolina. From the exterior of the home, a cedar shake roof and siding along with Swannanoa stone veneer (in an ashlar pattern) accents helps to blend this home into its lakeside environment. Designed to maximize the views from inside and out, with a cozy screened-in porch with a Chippendale railing. The interiors offers 5,775 square feet of living space, with four bedrooms, four full bathrooms and two half baths. Eye-catching and unique features are abound, such as antique doors framing the living room entryway.
The cottage was designed by Greenville-based architects Mel Dias Designs. The siding of the cedar shake is Sherwin Williams Blue Shadow semi-transparent; while the trim paint is Benjamin Moore Winter White in a semi-gloss.

Above: A gorgeous kitchen dressed in white was designed for functionality. High-end appliances are incorporated into the design, such as a 48” Subzero refrigerator and Wolf range. Custom designed cabinetry was painted in Benjamin Moore OC-21 Winter White with a Semi-Gloss finish, topped with Carrera Marble counters. Over the spacious island, industrial style Benson Pendant lights in polished nickel are perfect for task lighting. The drawer hardware was sourced from Restoration Hardware.
