Lush tropical villa in Miami blurs lines between indoors and out

Tropical Villa-Oppenheim Architecture-01-1 Kindesign

A voluminousย tropical villa wasย designed with multiple living spaces both indoors and out, the family home of architect Chad Oppenheim ofย Oppenheim Architecture + Designย in Miami Beach, Florida. While the overall effect of this re-design is visuallyย stunning, minimal alterations were made to the existing dwelling, which encompasses 9,000 square feet of sumptuous living space. With a wonderful connection that blurs the boundaries between indoors and out, this family home is truly enchanting. Entrance to this grand designย is through a soaring volume where a reflecting pool and an oculus creates both reflection and luminosity, offering bright and airy interiors.ย The home is organized into public and private spaces, with the public on the lower level and private spaces housed on the upper level.

A spacious private area at the back of the property offers its inhabitants a luxurious outdoor living environment, for lounging and entertaining guests. A circular column houses an outdoor shower, perfect for rinsing off after taking a dip in that incredible swimming pool! A shelteredย courtyard garden off the master bedroom en-suite on the second level allows for more private activities.

What We Love: The outdoor living spaces are fabulous, we would love to take a dip in that gorgeous swimming pool, so inviting! Architects homes are always intriguing to look through, and this one is no exception. A stellar design that is clean and minimal and very easy on the eyes… and the location is not to shabby either! How about you, what are your thoughts on this Miami Beach pad?
