This 18th-century waterfront home has undergone a stunning renovation by architect Charles Goebel, together with Weeth Home, located in Avondale on the Eastern Coast of Maryland. This house seamlessly combines historic charm with modern elegance. The architect reimagined the home’s layout to enhance natural light, improve flow, and harmonize with centuries of additions, while the designer infused the interiors with timeless details throughout.

This welcoming estate was nestled on 40 acres along a secluded tributary of Chesapeake Bay that still housed an original Georgian Colonial structure. Despite the sense of scale, history, and grandeur woven throughout the property, the house invites its residents to enjoy indoor-outdoor living at its finest, whether entertaining or relaxing while soaking in the idyllic views.

The property is also perfectly suited for kids in wet bathing suits, running from the swimming pool, then into the kitchen for a snack, lazy mornings enjoying a cup of coffee in their PJs, and family game nights around the dinner table. All of this is accompanied by unbelievable views of both the water and terrain that attracted the property’s original inhabitants to call this place home centuries ago.
