Martin Manley Architects was enlisted to create this Danish farmhouse-inspired mountain dwelling on a lakeside property in Vail Valley, Colorado. Embracing the hygge style, this home is a beautiful blend of natural materials and soothing textures. The interiors reflect a cozy nest punctuated with Bohemian accents.
The homeowners had a vision of their idyllic homestead, a barn with cottage overtones. A photo of a Danish farmhouse inspired the design. For the main forms of this dwelling, masses are interlinked to create a sense of history, just like the structures may have appeared over generations.
