This lovely cottage-style home created by City Homes together with Martha O’Hara Interiors is situated at the end of a cul-de-sac in Sidell Trail, a development in the beautiful Morningside neighborhood of Edina, Minnesota. The design of this dwelling was heavily influenced by its unique setting—a secluded, wooded property in the heart of Edina. The design of this home echoes the character of its surroundings, a serene oasis that lends the feeling of being outside the city.

An inviting front porch beckons guests inside this ample 5,272-square-foot countryside abode, which boasts five bedrooms and five bathrooms. Beyond its idyllic location, the home itself is truly stunning. The interior features an open and spacious great room and family room, providing a welcoming gathering space. Additionally, a gourmet kitchen, complete with a support prep kitchen, caters to culinary enthusiasts.

Unique features include a Minnesota Room—an extension of the main living space—with a stone fireplace and large oversized structural wood beams, emulating an actual timber frame structure. With large windows and magnificent views, the vibe in this room is like that of being in a screened-in porch, only used year-round as an entertainment and family space.

A spacious second floor master suite, set above the pines, feels like a treetop retreat. The lower level is all about entertaining with a 12-foot custom wood bar—created with wood from a tree on the lot—and a beer tap built into the brick wall.

What We Love: This cottage-style home in Minnesota offers its inhabitants a comfortable and relaxing oasis outside of the city. A spacious open floor plan invites both family gathering and entertaining in style. Our favorite space in this home is the beautiful four-season sunroom. A cozy space to enjoy the warmth and ambiance of a fire while relaxing with family and friends or curling up with a good book.
